Job Summary of Walmart Tire & Battery Technician:
Support the tire and battery center by providing safe and efficient services while delivering an exceptional experience to members. Collaborate with team members to ensure customer needs are met, leveraging expertise in tire and battery services and digital tools to streamline processes and enhance service quality.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Walmart Tire & Battery Technician:
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, providing mentorship and supporting new technicians.
- Demonstrate expertise in tire and battery industry guidelines, safety protocols, equipment operation, and compliance standards.
- Use digital tools to plan and drive sales, manage safety alerts, and access product and service information.
- Operate cash registers, process transactions, and maintain accurate records of inventory, audits, and compliance documentation.
- Assist customers with purchasing decisions, resolve concerns, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including backroom, sales floor, and service areas.
- Report equipment needs, inventory issues, and safety concerns to supervisors.
- Adapt to new tools and processes, embracing continuous learning and improvement.
- Complete work assignments using data and resources, collaborating with managers, team members, and business partners.
- Comply with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity in all tasks.
Qualifications and Experience of Walmart Tire & Battery Technician:
- Valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Completion of all required trainings and assessments within the designated timeframe.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Preferred: Experience in the auto service industry or retail environment.

Salary:
Hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $25.00, with potential for additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on work performed, schedule, or other factors. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the location.
