Job Summary of Doctor of Optometry:
You will support optical care and services by assisting customers with eyewear selection, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, dispensing eyewear, and providing patient education. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining the optical area in accordance with company policies, ensuring the area is stocked, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards, and assisting with inventory management. You will contribute to Walmart's commitment to delivering excellent customer service and providing quality optical care.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Doctor of Optometry:
- Aid clients in picking out appropriate eyewear and provide advice and education on optical care services.
- Assist in the detection and management of visual issues and eye disorders while working alongside the Associate Optometrist.
- Ensure that merchandise in the optical area is stocked, rotated, and arranged neatly to enhance its display.
- Support with the loading and unloading of merchandise, ensuring that stock management is done with accuracy and efficiency.
- Promote optical merchandise and solutions to assist clients in making decisions, adapting, and maintaining eyewear.
- - Fulfill optical orders and double-check prescription accuracy.
- Comply with the company's policies and procedures, ensuring strict adherence to regulations like those mandated by HIPAA.
- By abiding by safety guidelines and effectively managing the procedures for claims and returns, you can uphold a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications and Experience of Doctor of Optometry:
- Must be pursuing studies at a reputable Optometry institution to meet the basic qualifications.
- Ideal Credentials: Previous optical care or retail experience, exceptional customer service aptitude, and knowledge of eyewear and optical items.
