Job Summary of Optometry Associate:

Play a key role in Walmart's optical services by supporting day-to-day operations and helping customers select the right eyewear. This position includes assisting in prescription verification, inventory upkeep, merchandise presentation, and fostering a welcoming environment for patients and shoppers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Optometry Associate:

• Assist customers in choosing frames and lenses that suit their needs and preferences.
• Take and record precise optical measurements under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the optical area according to company standards.
• Help process and track eyewear and contact lens orders for timely delivery.
• Educate customers on lens types, coatings, and frame care.
• Support optical product merchandising, including inventory rotation and restocking.
• Follow all regulatory and privacy policies, including HIPAA compliance.
• Manage claims and returns while providing courteous service.

Qualifications and Experience of Optometry Associate:

• Minimum: Actively enrolled in an accredited Optometry program.
• Preferred: Customer service or retail background with a focus on detail and communication.

Salary:

• Hourly pay ranges from $15.00 to $32.00, depending on qualifications and experience.
