Job Summary of Walmart Pharmacy Manager:

Provide comprehensive patient care by accurately dispensing prescriptions, administering immunizations, and managing pharmacy operations. Lead the pharmacy team with a focus on patient-centered care, business growth, and community engagement, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Walmart Pharmacy Manager:

• Ensure accurate dispensing of prescriptions and administration of immunizations in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations.
• Drive sales and profit by managing merchandise presentation, pricing, inventory levels, and budgeting in pharmacy and OTC areas.
• Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy associates, fostering excellent customer service and resolving issues within company guidelines.
• Oversee community outreach programs, including Wellness Days, and encourage team participation.
• Maintain compliance with legal, company, and regulatory policies through regular reviews, loss prevention, and safety controls.
• Manage pharmacy operations, ensuring alignment with HIPAA, SOPs, and quality assurance standards.
• Monitor inventory flow and address issues related to merchandise ordering and stock management.
• Demonstrate sound financial management including budget oversight, financial reporting, and alignment with strategic goals.
• Create a culture of patient safety and quality care by setting clear expectations and accountability.
• Implement and monitor compliance initiatives, including billing procedures and HIPAA adherence.
• Foster a workplace culture that respects diversity, encourages collaboration, and supports associate development.
• Promote Walmart’s values of integrity, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience of Walmart Pharmacy Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or equivalent FPGEC certification (NABP).
• Valid pharmacy license by job entry date.
• Completion of an ACPE accredited immunization training program (e.g., APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored).
• Preferred: U.S. pharmacy-related experience.

Salary:

The aual salary range for this position is $112,000 to $197,000. Additional compensation may include regional pay zone, sales volume category, and other factors based on location and facility sales volume.
