Job Summary of Vision Center Doctor:

Contribute to Walmart's vision of accessible optical care by assisting customers with eyewear selection, prescription processing, and product education. This role plays a key part in upholding compliance, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean and customer-friendly optical department.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Vision Center Doctor:

• Guide customers through eyewear selection by explaining frame features and lens options.
• Support optometrists by verifying and transcribing accurate prescription details into the system.
• Ensure the optical space is well-stocked and merchandise is properly displayed and labeled.
• Receive, unpack, and organize incoming optical shipments while reporting discrepancies.
• Deliver eyewear fittings and small-scale repairs such as tightening screws or replacing nose pads.
• Assist in preparing contact lens orders and ensuring all patient details are correctly entered.
• Follow all Walmart and healthcare-related safety and confidentiality protocols.
• Handle customer claims, exchanges, and refunds according to company policy.

Qualifications and Experience of Vision Center Doctor:

• Minimum: Active enrollment in an accredited school of Optometry.
• Preferred: Experience in retail, optical sales, or healthcare services with strong interpersonal communication.

Salary:

• Hourly wage range between $15.00 and $32.00, depending on experience.
