Job Summary of Cash Handling Associate:

Your role is integral in ensuring that our members enjoy a fantastic shopping experience at our store. You will be the representative of our front-end team, in charge of welcoming members, managing cash transactions, and supporting the self-checkout process. Your ability to multitask, maintain a positive attitude, and deliver exceptional service will have a significant influence on member satisfaction, whether it be during busy evenings, weekends, or holiday seasons. Although the position involves fast-paced work, the satisfaction lies in being part of a supportive team dedicated to the common goal of ensuring members are happy and content.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Cash Handling Associate:

• Retain a hopeful mindset by warmly greeting, smiling towards, and expressing thanks to customers throughout their presence.
• Perform cash register duties and support customers with transactions promptly and accurately.
• Offer guidance to users of self-service terminals in resolving any issues that impede their checkout experience.
• Ensure excellent customer service by answering questions, assisting with selecting products, and resolving any concerns that customers may have.
• Keep workspaces well-kempt and organized for immediate member use.
• Adhere to the safety procedures of the company, perform safety sweeps, and communicate any unsafe conditions to the management.
• Aid in the systematic arrangement of goods to promote a well-maintained retail space.
• Abide by the company's policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines while fulfilling your job duties.

Qualifications and Experience of Cash Handling Associate:

• To qualify, one must be a minimum of 18 years old.
• Candidates with a history in customer service or retail are favored.
• Skill in utilizing front-end tools such as cash registers and self-checkout machines.
• Superior communication capabilities, with the capacity to multitask and concentrate in a quickly changing environment.
• Careful attention to particulars and a dedication to keeping the work area organized and tidy.
• Capacity to stay on feet for long stretches while providing efficient and precise assistance to others.

Salary:

The pay scale is between $16.00 and $23.00 per hour, depending on the individual's level of experience. Premiums can be as low as $0.35 or as high as $3.00 per hour in particular cases.
