Job Summary of Produce Lead:

This position involves supervising and developing a team of associates, collaborating with other leaders, and maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and compliance. As a department leader, you will leverage technology, manage inventory, and optimize operations to deliver outstanding results and customer satisfaction.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Produce Lead:

• Lead and supervise the Produce and Floral department team to meet business goals and deliver exceptional member service.
• Communicate department objectives, execute company programs, and ensure adherence to policies and member-first principles.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of floor operations, ensuring the produce area meets company standards for quality, safety, and compliance.
• Collaborate with associates to share knowledge and provide effective training, enabling team members to excel in their roles.
• Leverage digital tools to plan and drive sales, enhance the shopping experience, and improve associate engagement.
• Monitor staffing levels, ensure accurate audits, and maintain merchandise displays according to the layout plan.
• Develop and mentor team members, identifying potential and fostering career growth opportunities.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment that meets operational and member service standards.
• Promote company values and ethical standards through consistent behavior and application of the Open Door Policy.

Qualifications and Experience of Produce Lead:

• Minimum 6 months of experience working in a fresh production department or supervising a team.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred: Food Handler Certification (Food Safety) or similar certification.
• Experience in supervising a team in a retail or fresh production environment.

Salary:

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $22.00 to $30.00, with additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on specific circumstances.
