Job Summary of Eye Doctor:

You will play a key role in assisting customers with eyewear selection, prescription verification, and overall patient education. You will maintain the optical department’s cleanliness, stock inventory, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards, while contributing to a seamless customer experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Eye Doctor:

• Assist customers in choosing eyewear, providing guidance on frames and lenses that suit their needs.
• Collaborate with the Optometrist to diagnose visual issues and provide guidance for corrective lenses.
• Ensure optical merchandise is properly organized, replenished, and complies with company guidelines.
• Help with stock management by unloading, checking in, and organizing optical products.
• Sell optical products, assisting customers with adjustments, repairs, and product information.
• Ensure prescriptions are filled accurately and coordinate with the lab on eyewear orders.
• Uphold confidentiality standards as outlined by HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all store safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience of Eye Doctor:

• Minimum: Enrollment in an accredited Optometry program.
• Preferred: Prior experience in optical care or retail, with knowledge of eyewear and lenses.

Salary:

• Hourly pay between $15.00 and $32.00 based on experience and qualifications.
