Job Summary of AP Team Lead:

As a Picker / Packer at Walmart, you will play a critical role in the fulfillment process by accurately selecting and packing merchandise for shipping to customers or Walmart stores. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will use handheld devices and picking equipment to locate, retrieve, and package items according to customer orders or store requirements. Job Duties and Responsibilities of AP Team Lead:

  • Use handheld devices or picking lists to locate and select merchandise from designated storage locations within the warehouse.
  • Navigate through aisles and storage racks to retrieve items efficiently, ensuring accuracy and completeness of each order.
  • Verify product details, quantities, and quality before packing to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Pack merchandise securely and appropriately for shipping, using packaging materials such as boxes, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts.
  • Label packages with shipping information, barcodes, and tracking numbers.
  • Inspect merchandise for any defects, damages, or discrepancies before packing, and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Update inventory records in the warehouse management system to reflect items picked and packed for shipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the warehouse.
  • Work collaboratively with other warehouse associates and team members to achieve daily picking and packing targets.

Qualifications and Experience of AP Team Lead:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, order picking, or packing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with handheld devices and warehouse management systems is desirable.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and maneuver bulky items using appropriate equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing merchandise.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Hourly wage ranges from $21 - $34 per hour. Additional compensation includes aual or quarterly performance incentives, and premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00.
