Job Summary of Member Team Lead:

This position supports the leadership team in ensuring effective operations by supervising associates, assisting with daily activities, and promoting exceptional member service. Responsibilities include managing membership processes, training associates, resolving issues, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized club environment. This role plays a critical part in supporting business growth, promoting Sam's Club offerings, and contributing to the overall success of the club by creating a positive, engaging atmosphere for both associates and members.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Member Team Lead:

  • Supervise and assign tasks to associates, ensuring that company standards are met for member service and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with membership sales, including processing new memberships, upgrades, and renewals, while promoting the value of Sam's Club products and services.
  • Provide training to associates on procedures, member service, and safety standards to ensure compliance and excellent service delivery.
  • Support recruiting, hiring, coaching, and evaluating associates to build a strong team committed to success and growth.
  • Manage operational tasks including merchandise organization, claims and returns handling, and maintaining cleanliness across the club, including the parking lot.
  • Ensure accuracy in daily financial tasks, including cash management, deposits, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve processes, monitor results, and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive workplace by embracing diversity and supporting all associates in their professional growth.
  • Act with integrity, adhering to company policies, ethical standards, and providing exceptional member service.

Qualifications and Experience of Member Team Lead:

  • Minimum of 6 months of retail experience, including operating front-end equipment such as cash registers.
  • At least 6 months of customer service experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Preferred experience in leading a front-end team, including hiring, mentoring, and managing associates.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively support and guide associates.

Salary:

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $21.00 to $29.00, with the potential for additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour.
