Eye Care Optometrist
Job Summary of Eye Care Optometrist:
Join Walmart's Optical Team and help customers make informed eyewear choices. You’ll assist with frame selection, prescription verification, and lens fittings, all while supporting the operational needs of the vision center. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Eye Care Optometrist:
- Guide customers in selecting frames and lenses based on prescription and lifestyle needs.
- Support the optometrist by helping assess vision concerns and coordinating appointments.
- Keep the optical department neat, organized, and compliant with merchandising standards.
- Manage incoming and outgoing inventory, checking for accuracy and condition.
- Perform basic eyewear repairs and adjustments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure prescriptions are accurately processed and assist with order fulfillment.
- Comply with all privacy and health regulations, including HIPAA.
- Promote safety by following store protocols and addressing hazards or claims promptly.
Qualifications and Experience of Eye Care Optometrist:
- Minimum: Currently enrolled in an accredited school of Optometry.
- Preferred: Prior retail or optical experience, customer-focused mindset, familiarity with lenses and frames.

Salary:
- Hourly rate ranges from $15.00 to $32.00 depending on experience.
