Job Summary of Pharmacy Service Manager:
Provide extensive patient care through precise prescription dispensing, immunization administration, and management of pharmacy operations. Take the lead in directing the pharmacy team towards patient-centered care, business growth, and community engagement, while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Pharmacy Service Manager:
- Ensure that prescriptions are dispensed accurately and immunizations are administered in compliance with the regulations outlined by the Board of Pharmacy.
- Ensure increased sales and profitability by supervising the presentation of merchandise, pricing models, inventory levels, and financial plaing within the pharmacy and over-the-counter sections.
- Offer leadership and support to pharmacy staff, promoting excellence in customer service and resolving issues within company protocols.
- Oversee outreach initiatives for the community, such as Wellness Days, and drive team members to take part.
- Retain compliance with legal, corporate, and regulatory guidelines by conducting periodic reviews, loss prevention measures, and safety protocols.
- Organize pharmacy practices to align with HIPAA guidelines, standard protocols, and quality assurance measures.
- Regulate the inventory movement and handle any issues associated with purchasing merchandise and supervising stock levels.
- Display competent financial management by overseeing budgets, reporting financial information, and aligning with strategic objectives.
- Cultivate an environment that emphasizes patient safety and exceptional care by setting clear standards and ensuring all stakeholders are accountable.
- Implement and oversee initiatives aimed at ensuring compliance with regulations, including billing practices and adherence to HIPAA standards.
- Establish a work atmosphere that appreciates varied perspectives, stimulates teamwork, and facilitates the progress of associates.
- Advocate for the core beliefs of Walmart, including integrity, prioritizing customer needs, and striving for continuous progress.
Qualifications and Experience of Pharmacy Service Manager:
- Attainment of a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, PharmD, or equivalent certification like FPGEC endorsed by the NABP.
- Before starting a job, applicants must hold a legitimate pharmacy license.
- Successful finishing of an immunization training program accredited by ACPE, for instance, one presented by the APhA, pharmacy school curriculum, or State Pharmacy Association.
- Experience in the U.S. pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

Salary:
The yearly pay for this role ranges from $112,000 to $197,000.
