Job Summary:

As a member of the Vision Center team, you will drive sales by ensuring the effective presentation and pricing of merchandise, maintaining inventory levels, and analyzing market trends. You will also provide direction and guidance to Associates, ensuring excellent customer service while complying with company and legal policies. This role involves overseeing community outreach, offering development opportunities to associates, and ensuring quality eyewear for customers.

Responsibilities:

• Sales and Merchandise Management: Ensure accurate pricing, product signage, inventory levels, and proper merchandise presentation to optimize sales.
• Customer Service Excellence: Lead by example to provide top-notch customer service, resolving issues in a timely and effective maer according to company guidelines.
• Community Engagement: Oversee community outreach programs, encouraging associates to contribute to the community and represent the company’s values.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations, overseeing asset protection and quality assurance to maintain safety and operational standards.
• Associate Development: Mentor and train associates, assign duties, provide recognition, and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion within the team.
• Eyewear Expertise: Consult with customers on eyewear selection, take measurements, verify prescriptions, and perform minor frame repairs while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Completion of 2+ years of college OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience with 1 year of optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws and regulations.
• Experience in supervising associates and leading teams.

Salary:

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $27.50 to $37.50. Additional performance-based bonuses may be awarded aually or quarterly.
