Job Summary of Walmart General Facilities Maintenance Technician:

This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of retail store facilities, equipment, and fixtures. Working under supervision, the role involves adhering to maintenance schedules, conducting inspections, and completing repairs to support a safe and efficient environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Walmart General Facilities Maintenance Technician:

• Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple trade skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment.
• Utilize work order management systems to receive and document repair tasks.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize disruptions.
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment and fixtures to diagnose issues effectively.
• Complete all required safety and equipment operation training.
• Follow established maintenance schedules and guidelines consistently.

Qualifications and Experience of Walmart General Facilities Maintenance Technician:

• Vocational or technical certification with a minimum of three years of experience in trades such as plumbing, electrical, or material handling equipment, or five years of related work experience.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work comfortably at heights and in various temperatures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with hand and power tools relevant to maintenance tasks.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications such as word processing and spreadsheets is preferred.

Salary:
