Job Duties and Responsibilities of Specialty Compliance and Ethics Manager:

  • Lead compliance and ethics efforts by analyzing legal and regulatory changes and updating internal policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Guide execution of business plans to meet compliance objectives by identifying barriers, allocating resources, and monitoring performance.
  • Develop and manage a legislative assessment strategy to anticipate regulatory changes and inform strategic plaing.
  • Oversee research and analysis on proposed policies and assess their impact on business operations and compliance standards.
  • Direct food safety and supplier program initiatives, including corrective and preventive actions, recalls, and withdrawals.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and liaise with external regulatory agencies to ensure transparent compliance communication.
  • Support onboarding of new or reformulated products and lead technical consultations related to food safety systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Foster a strong compliance culture by developing communication strategies and contributing to a workplace environment that values ethics and integrity.

Qualifications and Experience of Specialty Compliance and Ethics Manager:

  • 6 years of experience in compliance, ethics, legal, or project management; or a Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in regulatory frameworks including FDA and USDA requirements.
  • Proficient in managing food safety systems, complaint investigations, supplier program implementation, and risk assessments.
  • Skilled in cross-functional project management, stakeholder communication, and corrective action plaing.
  • Technical knowledge of food science disciplines such as food microbiology, chemistry, processing, and allergens.
  • Experience with systems like PLM, ICIX, Prospec, and SFH for supplier compliance tracking.

Salary:

The aual salary range for this position is $84,000 to $156,000, with eligibility for aual or quarterly performance bonuses and potential stock based compensation.
