Job Summary of Yard Driver:

The successful movement of products through Walmart Supply Chain's distribution system is made possible by Power Equipment Operators, who operate and maintain the power equipment needed to transport goods smoothly and efficiently. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Yard Driver:

• Utilize advanced machinery to transport shipments and convey commodities.
• Control freight flow securely and accurately while fulfilling daily orders and managing the transportation of goods.
• Deliver goods to the specified areas of the building within the designated timeframe.
• To maintain a secure work environment, it is vital to notify management of all hazardous work conditions, faulty products, or incorrect processes.
• It is everyone's responsibility to maintain a clean and compliant work environment. Employers should provide the necessary training and resources to their employees to ensure that they understand the importance of safety and compliance.
• By following all regulations while driving tractor/trailers on facility property, ensure you keep everyone and everything safe.
• Ensure that the proper and timely transportation of trailers to their respective locations is carried out without delay.

Qualifications and Experience of Yard Driver:

• All candidates interested in the Yard Driver position must possess a genuine driver's license issued by the appropriate state authority.
• Candidates are expected to have a minimum of 6 months of experience driving, towing, and controlling tractor-trailer units.
• Safety is paramount, and significant attention to detail is necessary to ensure that all individuals involved are protected at all times.
• Skillful in lifting burdensome articles and competently operating powered tools.
• The expertise to adjust to different climate conditions and work effectively in a dynamic work atmosphere.
